Because you’re awesome—and you deserve awesome coffee.  🌱 The Story Behind the Bean  This coffee comes from El Santuario, an association of coffee growers located in northern Peru’s Tabaconas Namballe National Sanctuary. Founded in 2017 by 30 producers, the name ‘Santuario’ honors the natural beauty and ecological importance of the region. From the beginning, El Santuario has been committed to uplifting coffee-growing families while preserving the surrounding environment.

One-third of its members are women, highlighting the cooperative’s dedication to inclusivity and community leadership. Over time, El Santuario has flourished, growing in membership while maintaining its values of sustainability and empowerment. It’s not just about exceptional coffee—it’s about cultivating a thriving future for both people and nature.

Each farmer operates their own wet mill and follows strict protocols to ensure cherries are picked at peak ripeness. After floating to remove defects, cherries are hand-sorted, de-pulped, fermented, washed, and dried slowly on shaded raised beds.
